Traditional Skin Balm — Lanolin
Handmade in New Zealand. Skin. Inspired by Nature.
Fragrance free • Preservative free • Suitable for the whole family
An ultra-rich, deeply nourishing balm formulated for skin that needs serious moisture. Lanolin melts into skin on contact, wrapping it in a soft, protective layer that seals in hydration and helps restore suppleness to even the driest, most neglected areas.
Made with pure lanolin and sunflower oil, combined with coconut oil and beeswax, this simple yet powerful balm helps deeply moisturise and soften, support the skin’s natural barrier, and lock in hydration — without fragrance or essential oils.
Lanolin is a natural wax produced by sheep to protect their wool and skin from the elements — and it turns out, it works beautifully on human skin too. Structurally similar to our own skin’s natural oils, lanolin is exceptionally good at drawing moisture in and keeping it there. It softens, soothes, and forms a breathable protective layer that helps repair dry, cracked, or weathered skin over time. It also contains naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acids, which are known to help smooth and soften the appearance of rough or aging skin.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this safe to use for breastfeeding nipple care?
Yes. Lanolin is widely recommended for soothing sore or cracked nipples during breastfeeding. This balm is fragrance-free and preservative-free — simply wipe away any excess before feeding.
Is lanolin safe for sensitive skin?
Lanolin is generally very well tolerated and is widely used in medical-grade skincare. However, a small number of people may have a lanolin sensitivity. We recommend a patch test before first use if you have known skin allergies.
Is this suitable for everyday use?
Yes. It’s rich enough to use as a targeted treatment on very dry areas, and gentle enough for daily use wherever skin needs deep moisture or repair.
Can this be used on lips and hands?
Absolutely. It’s ideal for chapped lips, dry cuticles, and work-worn hands — anywhere skin needs intensive softening and protection.
Is this product animal-friendly?
Lanolin is harvested from sheep’s wool during the normal shearing process — no harm is caused to the animal. It is a natural by-product of wool processing.
